Rugova valley
General information
Peja – Pec is remarkably well situated geographically – in the center of Dukagjin region, surrounded by Bjeshket, Nemura and Dukagjin. Its geographical location, good connections to other towns of Kosovo and Monte Negro, mountains, waterways, landscapes and numerous cultural and historical monuments make it one of the tourist centers of Kosovo with the greatest development potential. Peja-Pec is the oldest town in Kosovo well known for its culture and centennial tradition dating back to the Illyrian tribes. The Rugova Region has a great natural potential for different sport and recreational activities. (continua)
Gastronomy, Hotels and Restaurants of Rugova Valley and Pej
Peja-Pec has excellent gastronomic tradition. Some of the best known dishes include leqenika, flija, maza, cheese and many other that are prepared and served in accordance to ancient customs. Local chefs prepare international cuisine as well. (continua)
